ALMOST THERE

It's a race against time. Can I keep my eyes open long enough to finish this blog entry? Time will tell.

Well, I can tell you now I'm in Kuwait. We took a contract airline to Bangor Maine, then onto Leipzig Germany, and finally onto Kuwait, where we will remain for a short time. It's a good opportunity to acclimatize ourselves to the desert before moving onto our final destination. There's definitely sand everywhere.

The trip was long but uneventful. I am bunking with about 12 other officers but it's temporary. Life is okay with hot showers and flushing toilets. The food is excellent and available 24 hours per day so I have to watch what I eat. My stomach is still trying to adjust. I am adjusting to the 11 hour change in time zones fairly well. I think most of my bunk mates are already asleep. I will follow shortly.

Not much else is new. The next blog should be coming from Iraq. Until then, be well.
